Keneng Print — Quality control & lab

Tested in our lab
before it ships.

How we check every order against your approved spec — on the line, in the laboratory and on record.

Quality control procedures

Four checkpoints,
film intake to pallet.

Quality is checked at every stage of an order, not only at the end.

01

Material intake

Incoming films and other materials are received under HACCP food-safety principles and recorded by batch, so any finished lot can be traced back to the materials behind it.

02

On the line

Full-width inspection systems and density checks watch printing and lamination as they run, so drift is caught in minutes. Laminates are bonded under controlled tension and temperature, then cured to specification, and pouch dimensions are checked on every run.

03

In the laboratory

Samples are tested against your approved spec sheet — color, adhesion, tensile and seal strength, and barrier — before anything leaves the plant.

04

Records and release

Retention samples are archived by batch, and engraved cylinders and color standards are kept for identical reorders. Certificates and test reports are available on request.

What we test

Twelve tests,
in our own lab.

The tests that matter for flexible packaging run in our own laboratory, against your approved specification.

Strength

Tensile, puncture and drop

How films and filled packs hold up to pulling, sharp objects and falls.

Sealing

Heat seal and leak

Seal strength, and proof that the pack is leak-tight.

Barrier

OTR and WVTR

Oxygen and water-vapor transmission through the structure.

Surface and gauge

COF and thickness

Slip, measured as the coefficient of friction, and gauge, so the film runs smoothly on your line.

Structure

Structural analysis

The structure of films and laminates, checked against your specification.

Process and safety

Residual solvent and retort

Residual solvents in printed and laminated film, and how the pack stands up to retort sterilization.

Cooperating labs

Specialist analysis, through partners

Microscopic analysis and any other test designed for flexible packaging are carried out with our external cooperating laboratories.

Laboratory equipment

The instruments behind the numbers.

Our own lab is equipped for all twelve tests above. Customers who audit the plant are welcome to see the lab and its instruments first-hand.

Open door

See the lab
for yourself.

Customers are welcome to audit the plant, including the laboratory, review our systems and watch their own job run on the line. Can't travel? We'll arrange a live video tour.
